Weaknesses, Beneficiaries of the Organization, Working strategy

17. Weaknesses:
a)    Working with poor people by living in rural or urban areas and having office in that area make problem to attract donors because sometimes the donors are reluctant to visit the office in the location where actually we work. Though in some respect these places are better for us to implement programs.
b)    Here electronic based communication is not at all easier and procurable like internet and telecommunication and costly enough. We have only easy access in mobile and internet.
c)    In the rural location, if not handsome salaries and other benefits are not offered in much higher level, it becomes very difficult to hire skilled, efficient, expert staffs.
d)    Unrest and political image.
e)    Natural disaster like Emergency flood, SIDR, Cyclone etc. and this southern region of Bangladesh is very natural disaster prone

18. Criteria for Selecting Beneficiaries of the Organization:
The beneficiaries are rural as well as urban downtrodden, distressed, exploited, marginalized, have-not people, disable, especially the women folk and children living in respective Project areas. The whole community of the operational areas is also considered to be the beneficiaries of our activities. It means that MANUS likes to have an amiable environment like the good odor, which will create impacts upon all the people, society and whole community of the organizational operational areas.

19. Working strategy:
MANUS stresses on non-directive, bottom up and participatory development working strategy for ensuring active and conscious participation of men and women at their own development. MANUS adopts target group development approach in implementing its program except education, health, Family planning, Sanitation, Disaster management and Social forestry program where community development approach has been adopted. With this end in view, MANUS first organizes the beneficiaries into homogeneous groups/Primary groups through awareness building and non-formal education and secondly it facilitates them for initiating economic program to reduce poverty through their active involvement.
